Great Date Deals Atlanta Brunch

One thing I love about about writing a blog, besides sharing my story, is having the chance to meet people I never would have never met if I did not have Miss Foodie Fab.

I’ve met some cool people along this blog journey of mine and one of those people is my blogger pal Dea of Pretty Girls Rock Dresses. So when Dea asked if the mister and I would be free after church, on Sunday, and would we like to attend a Valentine’s brunch with Great Date Deals Atlanta, I said, “Uh yeah!”

I mean a chance to eat, hear good music, hang out with my bloggers pals, and go on a date with my booski at the same time?! No. Brainer.

Now I totally was going to write this long flowery write-up for y’all, because you know I like to keep it entertaining around this here joint. However I’m writing this on the night of Scandal and, *Kevin Hart voice* it’s about to go down! This means I’m going to keep it short & sweet and hope you don’t pay me no never mind!

The Valentine’s brunch was a kick-off for Great Date Deal’s upcoming VIP events, and a celebration for Great Date Deals one year anniversary. Great Date Deals is a website where you and your boo thang can one stop shop for affordable and exciting date options, right where you live. The brunch was held at Organix Lounge in the Old Fourth Ward area of Atlanta.

There was food, mimosas, music, poetry, and giveaways. As a music lover my highlight of the brunch was listening to local Atlanta artists Diana Nicole and Gregory Jarre. Mannnn, thy could BLOW! Like, flat foot sang!

Oh and some of my fave fellow bloggers were in attendance.

Anywhoo, y’all get the point. I had fun at the Great Date Deals brunch! Be sure to check Great Date Deals out the next time you plan a date night.

Scandal is on. I gots to go! Peep my pics! *blows kisses*

*Jumps up and down and waves* Hey hey heyyyyyyy, were you looking for me?! No?! Well dag you didn’t have to say it so quickly. Let a sistah down easy. Fine then, let me make it up to you with some grade A Miss Foodie Fab foolery. Andddd……action!

Running man, Follery, Miss Foodie Fab

You ain’t know about my running man, yo?!

You feel better now, you took the hate out your heart?! We good?! Did you get your woo woo woo on?! Yes, you did. Don’t deny it. You still love me!

Fall is here as you know. Le. Boo. I’m not a fan of Fall. I’m a summer girl all day! It pains me to have to put away my maxi dresses and flip-flops every year. So of course I had to enjoy the last days of the nice weather we had in Atlanta by breaking out my sandals and MC Hammer pants, or at least that’s what the mister calls them, one last time. Every time I rock my Forever 21 tribal pants the mister makes me do the Hammer dance. He’s such a hater on my fashion sense. Bless his heart. I’m convinced that is grounds for separation, but whatever.

Now y’all know I don’t do outfit posts, per say, but I do love getting my snap and pose on. Ohhh and Bitzie, my hair, was very happy and manic that day so I decided she needed to be seen. It’s amazing how hair can be bipolar. Some days she can be all, “I need some Cymbalta” then the next day she’s all, “Trick, I’m fabulous!” I’ve learned to let her just do what she do.

Anywhoo I missed y’all and I promise to not be such a slacker with posting, well uhmmm I mean at least this week.

XOXO, Miss Foode Fab!

P.S. I want to know what item in your closet does your significant other hate on?

Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays

I have to give it to Atlanta, this city may be slow some times catching on with certain things, but once they do they take off! The world of food trucks, and Smyrna Food Truck Tuesday, is no exception.

Currently the city of Smyrna is hosting Food Truck Tuesdays every Tuesday from 6-9 pm in Taylor-Brawner Park. Before you start with the, “I don’t go outside of the perimeter” speech, I just want to remind you Smyrna is inside the perimeter. See, I got you ITP folks too!

The food trucks will rotate weekly, which means even if you attend every week you won’t get bored with the same ole dishes. So far the following food trucks have been involved: Ibiza Bites, King of Pops, Yumbii, Yum Yum Cupcake, and The Blaxican. In addition to great food, you can be serenaded by live music while you’re drooling over the great options and filling your belly up.

The event is very family friendly, would make an inexpensive date night, and you can even take a furry friend with you (as long as they are leashed of course).

For more information on Smyrna Food Truck Tuesdays, pictures of past events, and to stay updated on the weekly menu, visit the Smyrna Food Truck Facebook page.

Have you eaten off a food truck? Tell me which one, where, & what you ate!
