Saisha Beecham Glam Makeup Workshop

I recently had the pleasure of being invited to the Saisha Beechman Glam Makeup Workshop. For someone who loves makeup, I was super excited to have the opportunity to learn how to “beat my face” correctly.

The workshop was held at Derek Blank’s Studio, I’m sure all you Real Housewives of Atlanta lovers have seen his work and recognize his name, and it was a hands-on workshop where attendees learned how to do a full face makeup application.

Saisha Beechman is a celebrity makeup artist who has worked with Nia Long, Keri Hilton, Melanie Fiona, and more. Ms. Beechman taught those in attendance not only how to apply the perfect face, but she also shared her career journey and tips for those interested in becoming celebrity makeup artists.

The secrets Ms. Beechman gave weren’t just applicable to those wanting to become celebrity makeup artists, the tips are valuable to anyone interested in furthering their career in any profession. These are some of the tips that really stood out:

1. Don’t gossip with your clients. Your clients may allow you to gossip with them, but at the end of the day they will be thinking, “If she gossips with me, she will gossip about me!”

2. Clean your brushes, equipment, etc. between every client.

3. Always be professional, no matter what.

Of course I snapped lots of pics, and at the end of the day I was thrilled to receive a goodie bag filled with NYX products, Cover Girl mascara, and Stephen Moliski’s Smoke & Mirrors eyelashes. Side note: I may or may not have did a tootsie roll after opening my goodie bag. I told you, I LOVE MAKEUP!

Please enjoy the pics!
